Life is Beautiful, Halloween mean treats for all ages

The second half of October means the cooler weather is coming soon, and so are some fun times … for the big kids, and the little ones, too.

The Life Is Beautiful music festival downtown features a variety of top musical acts all weekend long, including Kanye West, the Foo Fighters, Outkast and more. But along with the great music, some of the world’s top chefs are combining to offer some delicious samples. If you’re a foodie, it’s an event not to be missed!

Opportunity Village’s HallOVeen is open weekends throughout the month and again Oct. 30-31, from 6-10 p.m., and the kids can put their costumes on from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26 and head down to Cox Treat Streets at Tivoli Village, a free event for children 10-and-under.

On Halloween night, which is on a Friday this year, there are plenty of safe places for the kids to collect treats. The Galleria at Sunset is hosting Mall-o-ween from 6-8 p.m., featuring a safe mall-wide trick-or-treat, scaryoke, Thriller dance, a pumpkin patch and free goodie bags. Since Nevada Day is recognized on the same day this year, schools are out giving the kids all day to prepare for some fun.

Of course, you’re always welcome to come see us at Montesano’s, where we always have treats of our own, from cannolis to cheesecake to zeppoles to our Brownie Overload.

Happy Halloween from all of us at Montesano’s – Where Love Has A Taste!
