Fall means Football, Faire (Renaissance), food and family fun!

It may not seem like autumn yet in Las Vegas with temperatures still near triple digits, but the weather is likely to starting¬†cooling down soon and there’s also plenty of fun times ahead for valley residents.

Football season is in full swing, so catch a Runnin’ Rebels game at UNLV. Our hometown team only plays once at Sam Boyd Stadium in October — a 7 p.m. game Oct. 10 against Fresno State. In November, you have three chances to see the Rebels here, including some afternoon games against New Mexico and Air Force, so see some gridiron action and come by Montesano’s afterward for a hearty postgame meal celebration!

Ren-Festival-300x229October also means the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Faire¬†at Sunset Park. This year’s medieval-times festival is Oct. 10-12. If you haven’t been to one, it’s an eye-opener and a fun weekend for the whole family.

Other upcoming fun family events include Art in the Park in Boulder City Oct. 4-5 and the Soul Food Festival in Henderson on Oct. 18.
